I have a Master of Arts in Social History, Gender Studies and German Literature

 

I am trained as a Somatic Educater, Bodyworker and Mover - Elsa Gindlers Work, Perceptible Breath Ilse Middendorf, Body- Mind Centering(TM), Feldenkrais, Qi Gong, Yoga, Contact Improvisation and New Dance.

 

I studied Somatic Psychology (Integrative Movement Therapy, Bodywork and Authentic Movement with Linda Hartley, author of: The Wisdom of the Body Moving (1994) Somatic Psychology. Body, Mind and Meaning (2004) Contemporary Body Psychotherapy: The Chiron Approach (2008)

 

Since 1994 I work as a Mind-Body Awareness Therapist at the University Hospital in Berne, Switzerland. I am specialised in the treatment of people coping with Eating Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

 

Since 2000, I have been strongly active in the prevention of eating disorders and the promotion of mental health in Switzerland. I developed programs that teach educators, parents, and children how to tune into their emotions and body sensations, how to reduce stress, and how to interact with others successfully. I have also created workshops for teenagers designed to strengthen their self-esteem and acceptance of their bodies.

 

I am the mother of two children and live in Berne, Switzerland with my partner, a dancer and an artist.
